We had a lovely stay over Easter at this hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful surrounding nature. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to provide us with recommendations and tips for things to do in the area. Another advantage was the delicious breakfast buffet, with a great selection of fresh and tasty options to choose from.
We did have some minor issues during our stay. The rooms were a bit outdated and could have been cleaner, but this did not affect our overall experience too much. Additionally, the restaurant was closed for dinner during our stay which was a disappointment, but there were plenty of other options in the nearby town. we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay and would consider returning in the future.

I've stayed at this hotel 3 times now and have enjoyed my previous stays. However this time I was disappointed because they did not give an alternative meal choice only the buffet and the bar was not open also they seem to rely on coach parties for their buisness. They have also been taken over it seems. Time will tell. Apart from everything the staff were very nice.
Only that you had to have the buffet and the bar was not open considering the hotel seemed full with a coach party.

We were late arriving due to heavy traffic and local road works but the staff had arranged booking in through the resturant and supplied us withan evening meal. Much welcomed.
Hotel very good value but thought the town of Hauenstein as become scuffy and untidy.

The shower cubicle was too small meaning I had to squeeze between the two right angle doors, although I am slightly overweight I am not large and can see many people having the same problem, the restaurant only servers buffet meals (so on our first night we had pork/chicken as a choice) so if you want something differant a walk into town is needed in which there is a very good hotel/restaurant which I can recommend

It's comfortable, quiet and clean. Good breakfast.
I didn't like the fact that everything is written in German and no other language, such as English or French. This is disappointing . There is no reception for late arrivals and no indication in any language how to manage. Moreover, what does one do after the main door has been closed if one arrives late?

Nature, friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast, helpful night staff, accommodating late arrival.
There was nothing I didn't like.

Very quiet and the room was very large
On the night we were there only a limited buffet of local dishes was available

very good breakfast
Very difficult to reach due to horrendous roadworks, and road closures (apparently these have been going on for a year and a half, but we had no warning of them)

If you're looking to immerse yourself in nature, this hotel is a must. Surrounded by awe-inspiring nature, giving you a relaxing getaway from the city. the room was pristine, with neatly kept bathrooms. the staff were friendly, hospitable, and informative, ensuring you're well-attended to. Breakfast buffet was tasty with enough variety to satisfy everyone's taste buds.
It would've been great if the hotel had multilingual signs and the staff could communicate in different languages too.

The room was quite big and reflected the location. The breakfast was lovely
The bar only opened on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Not a lot of good when staying on a Monday. Also the restaurant only had a limited menu for dinner "because the hotel isn't full".

Good hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and our stay was very pleasant. Pool was clean (if a little cool) and sauna very nice at the end of the day. All our enquires before the booking were answered quickly and information spot on. Would use again.

We enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was delicious and there was a good variety of food available. The staff were friendly and attentive, always willing to help. We also appreciated the convenient location near hiking trails and local attractions.
It was not up to our standards and left us feeling uncomfortable. the Wi-Fi was not free, and the paid option was complicated to set up.

All the staff were very helpfull during the short stay we had. Try the buffet if you can excellent way for tasting local dishes but first ask for them to explain each on if you can not speak German.
